About the 102nd Military Police Battalion

The 102nd Military Police Battalion is a unit of the New York Army National Guard, one of the largest and most storied state National Guard organizations in the United States. Military Police battalions of the ARNG perform a wide range of critical missions — law enforcement, area security, internment and resettlement, maneuver and mobility support, and police intelligence operations — both in support of domestic emergencies within New York State and during federal deployments overseas. The New York Army National Guard has a lineage stretching back to the colonial militia of the 17th century, making its units among the oldest continuously serving military organizations in the United States.
