Subdued vs. Full Color – Which Do You Need?

US Army uniform regulations authorize the subdued (low-vis) patch for wear on the Army Combat Uniform (ACU) and field uniforms in tactical environments. The subdued version uses muted tones to reduce visual signature in the field. The full-color version is worn on the Army Service Uniform (ASU) and Army Green Service Uniform (AGSU) for garrison, ceremonial, and dress occasions.
