The motto for the 163rd Infantry Regiment Unit Crest is MEN DO YOUR DUTY.The distinctive unit insignia was originally approved for the 163d Infantry Regiment, Montana National Guard on December of 1941. It was later redesignated to the 163d Armored Cavalry Regiment, and part of the Montana National Guard on September 1953. It was amended to change the symbolism during the month of January in 1970. The Unit Crest was updated to include both the Montana and Nevada Army National Guard on January 20th of 1975. It was again redesignated to the 163d Infantry Regiment, Montana Army National Guard on February 1st of 1989.
