1316E

On July 1st, 1958, the 429th was re-designated as a Tactical Fighter Squadron. These USAF patches commemorate the Black Falcons. This historic outfit served (under various names and titles) in World War II, and the Korean and Vietnam wars. The 429th was the last to fly the F-111 Aardvark aircraft which specialized in strategic bombing, reconnaissance, and electronic warfare. Their air force patches feature a black falcon letting a bomb drop on the enemies of the U.S. For the best US military insignia and USAF patches, shop SaundersInsignia.com.
